Greg and Corah held there wedding reception at Colwick Hall, the ancestral home of the Byron family who occupied the hall for over 150 years before it was sold to the Musters family in 1660. Colwick Hall is situated next to Nottingham Racecourse set amongst 60 acres of parkland, a lake and the River Trent, an ideal spot for photographs. Colwick Hall is licenced to conduct civil ceremonies in the following rooms:-
1776 Grand Ballroom which boasts a beautiful painted ceiling and can hold up to 90 guests
The Lakeside Pavilion which can accommodate between 120 – 500 guests
The Decolwyke & John Carr Suite can hold up to 30 guests
The George Stubbs room for a more intimate ceremony overlooking the gardens which can hold up to 12 guests
Greg and Corah had their photographs taken within the gardens and by the Lake before sitting down to a traditional buffet style Nigerian wedding feast in the Lakeside Pavilion. Greg and Corah's wedding cake consisted of 4 layered iced tiers decorated with blue and yellow sugar flowers with a personalised cake topper made to resemble the happy couple. After the first dance, Greg & Corah quickly changed into traditional Nigerian wear to dance the rest of the night away. A chocolate fountain was provided by Coco Falls a company based within the Nottingham area. From our observations, the staff were very friendly and overall the reception was very well co-ordinated.
