Corrin & Mike - 30th December 2009

The Wedding

The wedding ceremony was held at St Peter's church, Edensor situated within the Chatsworth House Estate, in the heart of the Peak District. The day of the wedding the church was adorned with Christmas decorations. Corrin wore an ivory dress with lace detail embedded with gold crystals and just looked absolutely stunning with Mike wearing his Naval uniform. It was a beautiful service throughout given by The Venerable David Garnett, Archdeacon of Chesterfield.

Then followed the reception at Hassop Hall, near Bakewell. Corrin and Mike travelled the 4 miles from St Peter's to Hassop Hall in the horse drawn carriage. Once at the venue, mulled wine was given to all the guests before the photo shoot and the serving of the wedding breakfast. The tables were named after the 12 days of Christmas. Hassop Hall was beautifully decorated with coal fires burning away to keep the guests warm. After the meal, the party really got going and didn't stop until 1.00am. We did a diary room for guests to leave their personal messages which was a huge hit amongst family and friends. It was great to capture the New Year celebrations on film and we know it is something they will never forget! We finally packed our video cameras away at around 1.30am before having a drink with the bride, groom and their lovely family before leaving to go

About Hassop Hall

Hassop Hall dates back some 900 years and is situated in the tiny but picturesque village of Hassop with Bakewell and Baslow nearby. It is privately owned and hosts weddings and other celebrations all year round. Hassop Hall is licenced to carry out civil ceremonies in several rooms. The rooms in the main house are beautifully laid out and are very well decorated. Hassop Hall also boasts the use of the Ballroom, a large function suite, which is just a short walk away from the main house and again boasts many well decorated rooms. On arrival the Hall's own pianist entertains guests with beautiful melodies until it is time for the wedding breakfast to commence. The gardens give a nice romantic backdrop for photo's and the south facing terrace is the place to relax when the sun is shining with a drink or two! The staff are very friendly, helpful and are dressed in uniform. The manager/owner Richard is extremely helpful, being hands on throughout the day overseeing the wedding party and looking after their needs. The food is divine and beautifully presented. From our own experience just by filming here, is that the day is super co-ordinated by all the Hassop Hall team. All that is left for me to say is that we have enjoyed every minute there and have been lucky enough to film there again.
