Emma & Stephen - 8th May 2010

The Wedding

Emma & Stephen were married at St John's Church in the parish village of Newhall . I filmed Emma getting ready at her parent's house with Barry filming the boys at the couple's house. The groom and his groomsmen travelled to church in a white Limo. Then it was time for the bridal party – running a little behind schedule, the Limo arrived to take the bridal party and collected the bridesmaids and mother of the bride. Little did Emma know that the Limo would not be back to collect her and her dad, thanks to Stephen! Running very late, Emma arrived in style in a horse drawn carriage, something that Stephen had arranged as a surprise for her! Emma wore “Galacia” by Ronald Joyce in light gold and looked every bit the beautiful bride, Stephen would certainly be knocked off his feet on seeing her! The colour scheme chosen by the bride and groom was Claret & Ivory. The ceremony was conducted by Rev'd Bob Hollings, Newhall's rock n' rolling vicar.

The Venue

Once married the happy couple left the church in their horse drawn carriage travelling in style to their reception venue at Branston Golf Club. The reception itself was held in the Pavilions building which boasts beautiful panoramic views over the club's 18 hole golf course and the River Trent. Jen & her team of dedicated event and wedding co-ordinators really know how look after their clients and the service was from what we could see, spot on! The Chatsworth Suite which is tastefully decorated can accommodate up to 200 guests for a wedding breakfast, buffet and evening reception. The Pavilion is also licenced to conduct civil weddings and partnerships. For those wanting some quiet time, there is a separate bar that is furnished with a variety of comfy sofas and chairs.

On arrival the Emma & Stephen were given the “red carpet” star treatment and were handed a much needed glass of champagne each before it was time to take them away for their photographs. The weather was a little hit and miss with outbursts of rain but this didn't stop the couple from having their wanted shots set amongst the stylish private gardens at the venue. Both had lots of fun during the photoshoot. The room where the reception was held, Emma & Stephen had chosen table centrepieces of ivory Calla Lillies in glass fish bowls which had been placed on mirrored circular plates finished off with a circle of tea lights. The couple had a three tiered traditional wedding cake again incorporating the couple's colour scheme. At the evening reception, Emma & Stephen had organised a chocolate fountain for all their guests to tuck in and enjoy. The evening filming concluded with the ever popular diary room where lots of family and friends took the plunge, faced the camera and left a video message, we even managed to get the bride and groom to leave a surprise message for one another!
