The Wedding
Michaela and John were married at Branston Pavilions, Branston Golf & Country Club near Burton Upon Trent on 5th September 2010. Michaela's make-up and hair was done by the lovely Jennie Leonard, owner of The Biz Hair & Make Up Academy based in Swadlincote. Michaela's wedding dress was made by designer Jora Essence Collection in ivory with corseted style laced up back and beading detail. Michaela complimented her look with a flower and butterfly crystal detailed headband and a shoulder length double layered veil - Michaela looked stunning. The groomsmen all looked smart in their black morning suites complimented with red neckties and a red rose buttonhole. The bridesmaids all wore floor length a-line deep red satin dresses with the flowergirls wearing ivory tulle layered dresses with detailed empire line finished with a red rose brooch. The flowers were made up of deep red roses and gerberas. The couple's wedding cake, made by a friend of a friend was three layered tiers adorned with a waterfall of red rose petals and tiny white butterflies.
After the ceremony held in one part of the Chatsworth Suite, it was outside for the photos with the main group shots out on the front before photographer Kevin took the bridal party round to the gardens. We got some great footage of Michaela and John on the wooden bridge and by the 18th hole! It was then time for John to teach Michaela a little putting on the practice green before returning back to their guests for the wedding breakfast. After the meal it was time for the speeches, the Best Man's speech together with a slideshow he had from photos of the groom in his early days and when they became a couple had all the guests and the bride and groom laughing, nicely put together with some comic animation.

The Venue
The Pavilions at Branston is part of Branston Golf & Country Club. The Pavilions overlooks the club's 18 hole golf course and the River Trent. The Pavilions is a popular wedding venue for civil ceremonies and receptions in Burton Upon Trent . Jen, Sam & their team of dedicated event and wedding coordinators really know how look after their clients and the service was from our observation was spot on! The Pavilions also offers the bride to be a room for her to freshen up in or if she prefers to get ready there. The Chatsworth Suite which is tastefully decorated can accommodate up to 200 guests for a wedding breakfast, buffet and evening reception. The Pavilions is also licensed to conduct civil weddings and partnerships.
For those wanting some quiet time, there is a separate bar that is furnished with a variety of comfy sofas and chairs. There are gardens to the side for photos or for those wishing to enjoy a drink outside when the weather is fine. On arrangement it is possible to have photos taken down at by the golf clubs 18th hole near the river which boasts a fountain and a gazebo walk through.
