The Wedding
The day of the wedding was sunny and warm. The guests started to arrive around 11.00am in plenty of time for the ceremony at 12:00 noon. The colour scheme of the day was pink, ivory and pistachio. The groomsmen wore traditional tails looking very smart and finished off with a pink rose buttonholes. The bridesmaids all wore knee length ballerina style dresses in pink complimented with ivory and pink roses posey styled bouquets. The ceremony room was stylishly decorated in a neutral colour scheme complimented with Eve and Robert's flowers.
Eve wore an ivory a-line dress delicately layered with lace and beading with a sweetheart neckline with a chapel train and she looked absolutely stunning. Eve's bouquet was made of pink and ivory roses complimented with some greenery. Once married it was time to enjoy drinks in the courtyard where guests could enjoy the sunshine and ice-cream. Mango, a male & female duet provided music entertainment during the afternoon. Here the guest and family photos were taken making use of the shaded areas and of course the stunning background of the venue, its landscaped gardens and water feature. Once all the main group shots had been taken, it was time to take the bridal party to another part of the gardens for more photos where the backdrop was just stunning. Rushton Hall is certainly a beautiful venue with many photo opportunities within its grounds. We filmed some lovely scene's down by the lake with Eve and Robert with the sun glistening off the water.
The wedding breakfast took place in the Library room with each table being named popular sweeties and decorated with a tiered cupcake stand full of iced cupcakes that looked too good to eat. Eve and Robert's wedding cake was three layers of creamy iced cupcakes with the top layer being a traditional iced cake in the colours of the day. As a final touch Eve and Robert choose a personalised cake topper representing the couple.

The Venue
Eve and Robert were married at Rushton Hall Hotel & Spa situated just outside the small village of Rushton in Northamptonshire. A little history of the venue - The hall was originally commissioned by Sir John Tresham in 1438 and remained in the Tresham family for around 200 years before the Cockayne family took it on. During the 19 th century the hall saw 2 new owners, one of them a Miss Clara Thornhill who was good friends with the infamous author Charles Dickens. In 1957 Rushton Hall was a school owned by RNIB and this was sold to private owners during 2003. The many factors that make this such a stunning venue have been restored to full glory by putting back in place both Tudor and Jacobean styles that have made the hall it is today. As a venue, Rushton Hall is full of interesting artefacts, ornate mirrors and pictures galore. The building's architecture and grounds make it a stunning venue, perfect for any wedding celebration. It has 45 bedrooms and offers exclusivity for weddings, at a price.
The courtyard is great for socialising with guests and has a balcony all around it which can be accessed for photo opportunities. The hotel is fully licensed to conduct civil ceremonies in the Drawing room which can accommodate up to 90 guests. Wedding breakfasts and receptions can take place in the Pavilions, The library, The Oak Panelled Room, The Cellar Bar and the Great Hall.
