Aimee & Stephen - 17th September 2010
The Wedding
Aimee and Stephen were married at St Mary's Church, Greasley, Nottinghamshire and the ceremony was carried out by Reverend Dave Marvin. The Church itself dates back to 1882 after being rebuilt virtually from scratch when the tower was separated from the nave and chancel due to subsidence. Prior to this the original church dated back to medieval times.
The filming of Aimee and Steve's wedding commenced an hour before the ceremony start time with us capturing the groom with family friends at the local pub, The Horse and Groom Inn, a short walk from the church. Aimee arrived in style in a vintage Vauxhall 20/60 in white together with her father. Aimee wore a beautiful Benjamin Roberts aline dress in ivory taffeta with sweetheart neckline, delicate crystal beading front and back and a ruched bodice. She complimented her stunning look with an updo hairstyle with silver crystal diamante tiara and crystal hairpins and mid length veil. Aimee's flowers were cream roses. The bridesmaids wore long flowing chiffon style cobalt blue halter neck dresses complimented with ivory wrist corsages and clutch handbags.
Stephen wore a navy traditional morning suite with ivory necktie and waistcoat. Stephen's groomsmen wore also navy traditional morning suites with blue neck tie and ivory waistcoats. Aimee and Stephen's wedding breakfast was to take place at Bestwood Lodge. Aimee and Stephen's wedding cake was a layered three tier white traditional iced cake which was complimented with the couples theme of butterflies in white and blue. The top table was decorated with small cream gerberas and candles on mirror plates. The guest tables were decorated with tall slim vases with cream gerberas and complimented with blue chiffon ribbon and a butterfly. Aimee and Stephen's photographer of the day was Trudy Trafford based in Nottinghamshire. Our filming concluding just after the happy couple's first dance and a day we thoroughly enjoyed with such a fabulous couple that we had gotten to know over the months prior to the wedding.

The Venue
Aimee and Stephen held their wedding reception at Bestwood Lodge Hotel, Nottingham owned by Best Western Hotel Group. The venue was built around 1865 and formerly an old hunting lodge which is set in 700 acres of parkland. The hotel has 40 ensuite bedrooms and is licensed to conduct civil ceremonies which take place in the hotel's Chapel Suite. Wedding breakfasts and receptions can be hosted in a number of suites according to the size required.
The Ballroom can accommodate from 70 – 120 guests for the wedding breakfast. For an evening reception it can accommodate up to 250 guests.
The Parkside Restaurant which overlooks the rose garden can accommodate between 60 to 100 guests.
The Chapel, Sherwood and Conservatory Suites can accommodate up to 55 guests for the wedding breakfast and for the evening reception the three suites can accommodate up to 150 guests.
The Drawing Room is most suited to the smaller intimate wedding party accommodating up to 18 guests. The room itself overlooks the venue's grounds. This room is not available to hold a wedding reception.
The hotel offers magnificent garden together with the acres of parkland which creates a great backdrop for photography. The hotel is tastefully decorated with some original features such as ornate fireplaces, chandeliers and wonderful architecture. On the day from our own observations the staff appeared to be very friendly and helpful making the occasion run smoothly without any delays.
